I knew it was there, and Trenna would remind me of it from time to time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She was extremely supportive of my career and encouraged me in it.  As a result I was involved in a number of professional organisations, and held some senior positions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She was also supportive of me going to conferences and professional development sessions.  Even when it meant I would be less available to assist her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inevitably these events involve converstions &#8211; before and after the event, at tea breaks, between sessions and at lunch and dinner.  You can build some great relationships in those opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, Trenna was always keen to encourage me in that way, even though it doesn&#8217;t come naturally to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She developed this list on her iPad, I think from bits and pieces she had picked up in her career as a staff trainer, during her life, and things she heard on the radio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Like most of these iPad pearls she (and I) didn&#8217;t think this was life changing, cutting edge information, but rather &#8220;just stuff you should probably remember&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I do think the items she put on the list did apply specifically to me, but they do have a wider applicability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is Trenna&#8217;s pointers to help in <em>The Art of Conversation<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-pdf-viewer-block-standard\" style=\"text-align:left\"><div class=\"uploaded-pdf\"><a href=\"https:\/\/trennamahney.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/C.-THE-ART-OF-CONVERSATION-1-1.pdf\" data-width=\"\" data-height=\"\"><\/a><\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wisdom From Trenna&#8217;s iPad This is an item I noticed on Trenna&#8217;s iPad and thought I&#8217;d share.
